Laskovyi beach
Laskovy Beach in the village of Solnechnoye is one of the best, most well maintained and comfortable places for a beach holiday on the coast of the Gulf of Finland. Many people compare it with beaches of Anapa - it is so sunny, warm and comfortable here. The vast shallow water, very clean sand and excellent infrastructure gave it the glory of the most favorite place for family vacations in the vicinity of St. Petersburg.

Beach description
Laskovy is the biggest one among all the beaches in Resort field. Its length is about 1 km, and the width of the sand strip reaches 200 m. The coastline stretches along picturesque pine tree forest, near which there is concrete embarkment - great place for walking by the bay.
The coast here is covered with fine light golden sand, the sea bottom is also sandy, with a small interspersed shells. But along the shore there are small stones met. The least of them are on the southern edge of the beach, where the depth grows faster than in other parts of the coast. In the sand close to the embankment, sharp coniferous needles and even cones are often found.
Among other characteristics there are such remarkable factors:
- The water here is very clean and so clear that even at a considerable distance from the coast, where it is already quite deep, the sandy bottom is clearly visible.
- Entry to the water is sloping, even in several meters from the shore it is no higher than the knee. Therefore it is one of the best places for vacation with children.
- Waters here are calm, but in windy days there are significant waves, which attract surfers and kiters.
But at the same time it is not recommended to swim on this beach (due to wastewater entering the bay), but is also not prohibited. Therefore, in the season you can see a lot of vacationers, not only on the shore, but also in the water. The main thing is not to swim beyond the buoys that limit the safe swimming area.
The main disadvantage of the coast is crowding (especially in July and early August). In season, there are noisy crowds of vacationers, from which even arrival here on weekdays will not save, since in the summer a lot of tourists come to the village.
When is the best time to go?
The Baltic coast is not the warmest place with respect to air temperature or water temperature. However, from July to September, the warmest and most comfortable period in the Baltic comes: fifteen degrees Celsius will be a stable mark. But remember that in late spring - early summer, the Baltic Sea may “bloom” due to the abundance of plankton: water becomes cloudy and saturated green. During this period, swimming will be unsafe and rather unpleasant.

Infrastructure
Among number of the beaches in vicinities of St. Petersburg Laskovy is distinguished by one of the most developed infrastructures, providing complete comfortable vacation on the shore. The following features are available for vacationers:
- paid toilets, comfortable and vast changing cabins;
- litter bins;
- fountains with cold fresh water located at the exit from the beach, where you can rinse your feet to get rid of sand;
- comfortable wooden sunbeds, benches for relaxation under the shade canopies (all of this is free);
- comfortable playgrounds with slides and about a dozen equipped volleyball courts;
- vast free car parking;
- water ski rental;
- container shops with ice cream and drinks.
The coast is regularly cleaned of garbage and monitored by lifeguards from the tower. There are many cafes and restaurants on the shore and in the vicinity of the beach where you can sit in a cozy atmosphere and have a tasty meal.
On the shore there are sites for camping installed, where you can pitch a tent. For a more convenient location, you should stay in pensions in the village of Solnechnoye.

- You can get to the beach from St. Petersburg by electric trains that regularly run from the Finnish station to the Solnechnoye station (about 40 minutes). Upon arrival, you should cross the platform and go through the shady coniferous alley towards the promenade, which takes about 20-25 minutes on foot. Minibuses from St. Petersburg (No. 400 and No. 305) also run towards the village .
- On the coast, various sporting events for youth are often held. On Saturdays, a beach volleyball school operates on the beach.
- Vacationers should take into account that for making fires and organizing a barbecue on the shore of this beach they can pay a fine, since such actions are officially prohibited here.
- In the vicinity of the beach there are several interesting sculptures, against which tourists like to be photographed. They are located 500-800 m from the shore. Closest to the coast is the composition “Coward, Dunce and Experienced”, which is about 7 minutes on foot to get. At 850 m from the beach there is the "Acorn" sundial. At the very entrance to the beach there is the avant-garde composition "Seagulls."
