Kelingking Beach is a tiny beach located between two mountain ranges. To soak in its waters, you need to go down from a high mountain in the conditions of heat, bad roads and sharp cliffs. But the result is worth any effort. After all, at the end of the road you will find a fabulous coast with bright blue water, a stone wall, dense forests and perfect sand.

Kelingking is Indonesia's most beautiful beach. It is located inside the mountain range, in the heart of the Indian Ocean. It is surrounded by rocky cliffs, bright blue waters, dense forests and exotic plants. This place has the following features:
- tiny size – up to 100 meters in length and up to 25 meters in width;
- dense groves on the coastline – they provide shelter from the heat and a lovely place for a picnic;
- exotic creatures – unique species of fish, insects and birds live here;
- proximity to the rocks – the nearest mountain is 20 meters from the sea.
Kelingking pleases with soft sand, huge waves, lots of shade and clean air throughout Indonesia. It is characterized by a sharp set of depth, a strong current and perfectly transparent water. Important: there are no rescue services or safe areas. Stay away from the ocean if you can't swim well.
Despite the wide popularity on the network, Kelingking remains a relatively quiet place. On weekdays there are no more than 3-4 dozens of people. The low population of the beach is explained by its inaccessibility. To get to the shore, you need to go down from a huge rock along steep and very uncomfortable steps. The safety of tourists is provided only by a flimsy fence of thin branches. In some places you need to use improvised stairs and jump from the ledges.
The main contingent of the beach is active travelers, bloggers, climbers, extreme sports and wildlife enthusiasts. Occasionally, surfers and divers can be seen here.
A little tip: leave Kelingking beach before sunset or immediately after it sets in. Climbing a rock in the dark is deadly. Every year, dozens of tourists lose their lives here because of their frivolity.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
