Virgin beach

Virgin beach is a secluded spot next to a forest belt on the Indian Ocean in the village of Perasi in the east of Bali. “Virgin” means “untouched”. And this, indeed, Virginia is a picturesque place without developed infrastructure and traces of human activity. Those who want to get closer to nature and feel its soul choose the beach. Mostly the coast is not crowded with vacationers and has a calm and quiet atmosphere.

Beach description

Virgin Beach is unique, it is covered with a mixture of white and black sand that appeared on the coast from the eruption of Agung volcano. But it’s interesting that the coast after each tide looks different: the beach can cover mainly black sand or, conversely, it can be snow-white with small contrasting inclusions. Shallow water is also characteristic of Virginia. By the way, they choose this beach more often than not for swimming, but for sunbathing.

Although the beach is unpopular, entry fees are charged. Also recently, on the territory of Virginia, you can rent a deck chair and an umbrella.

When is it better to go?

The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
