Kuta beach
Kuta Beach is the most popular resort of Bali. In the middle of the last century this place was a quite fishing village. Now it attracts tourists with great conditions for surfing. Kuta is famous for its long sandy beach, various accomodation variants and service with allows to spend a good time round the clock.

The spacious shore provides many tourists a space, so no one bothers each other. Waves, depending on the season and weather, can be big and small, but almost all year round the surf is quite powerful. The bottom changes its terrain, in some places it's shallow and after a few steps it becomes abruptly deep. The water near the shore quickly warms up.
On a gentle slope on schedule comes the tide, leaving behind a lot of trash. February storms and rains also contribute to this. It is cleaned, but after some time the situation repeats.
The main activity here is surfing. Thanks to perfect geographical description not only advanced surfers like being here, but also those who only begins. Kuta Beach offers various of schools where people can learn how to surf. Lessons there are more expensive then those which tourists can take right on the shore, but it is advised to go to these schools.

Surf boards, which are offered for rent on the beach, leave much to be desired. In order not to pay for rent and property damage of wrecked under the wave board, it's better to take own board or rent it in the place where they are in better condition.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.

Infrastructure
Kuta Beach is a center of youth get-togethers all over Bali. Active noisy life won't stop even at night, so those who are looking for quite and calm rest will not be happy with this place. The area is full of inexpensive hotels, there are a lot of shops, bars, restaurants, nightclub's visitors walk till morning.
The advantage of Kuta Beach is that the accomodation and entertainment infrastructure are located directly at the beach. Transport is much cheaper then in other places. Low-cost accomodation, which starts with 10$, attract a lot of young people. Unpretentious room in the hotel with a pool will cost twice as much. It is possible to get comfortable in prestigious hotels.
Near the beach and at the time close to the city center is a Bintang Kuta Hotel. Guests are provided with free of charge transfer from the airport. Windows of some rooms look at inner yard with a pool. A buffet breakfast is served every morning and there is a bar next to the pool. Hotel guests go to the fitness club and use more spacious pool of nearby Bintang Bali Resort Hotel. The way to the seashore lies through its territory.
In the city where tourists can go by foot, are huge number of massage saloons and different shops. Restaurants and cafes offer a great dinner, during which guests can enjoy ocean views and sunsets.
Main Kuta streets have several good shopping malls, equipped with entertainment venues for all family members. For example, the grand Beachwalk, located on 3.7 hectares, has extensive parking. The atrium in its center is a cozy garden, and the curved arcades represent a chain of various shops offering goods of the most famous brands.
The shopping centers are adjacent to mini-food courts, where tourists can eat. Basements are occupied by respectable restaurants where guests enjoy local and international cousin. Tourists go from shops with sports clothes, gadgets, jewelry to the shops of Balinese artisans, where there are souvenirs, handmade items, art products, local batik.
