Beach description
Nyang Nyang is a paradise at the foot of high cliffs which should be passed to go down to the coast of the Indian ocean. Nyang Nyang Beach which is 2 kilometer long is one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches on the island. Sparkling white sand, moderate ocean depth, turquoise water and spectacular views around allowed this place to get into a "must visit" list of Bali.
It is recommended to use special shoes for mountain areas: stairs and slopes to the beach are sometimes very steep and extreme. The way to the beach can be started from Uluwatu temple in Pecatu area, it will take 500 m. The way from Kangoo, Seminyak or Kuta resorts to Nyang Nyang will take about 1-1.5 hours, depends on traffic intensity and speed.
This place attracts tourists not only with amazing natural beauty, but also with a ship wrecked in the Indian ocean. It became the hallmark of Nyang Nyang. The ship is on the shore, part of which is hidden in a sand. Local graffiti artists painted the wrecked ship, so it became the favourite place for a memorable photo about Indonesia. Tourists come to see the sunset, when the sky and the ocean merge into a single whole in orange and purple shades.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
