Seminyak beach
Is located in southern part of Bali, a little north from famous Kuta resort. Many tourists can see the difference between Kuta, Legian and Seminyak, because they have common coastline and one beach smoothly flows into the other. So, choosing Seminyak, tourists should count the main thing - the further from Kuta the less crowded and calmer the place is.

Beach description
Seminyak is a huge 2 kilometers beach covered with soft golden sand and washed by the azure waters of the Indian ocean. There can be seen families with children and elderly couples, but the main contingent is a youth, who is attracted with perfect conditions for surfing and an ability to have a good time in various beach bars.
The sea here is restless all year round, and it is no use to count on calm. But there is a real expanse for surfers, because near the shore there are powerful streams which create perfect waves, not very high, but rhythmic. Beginners are always watched by instructors and lifeguards, there are a lot of places with boards and necessary equipment rental. Swimmers should be careful and pay attention on warning signs.
Around cafes and bars there are relaxation areas with sunbeds and soft pillows. Secluded holiday lovers can stay on their own towels, fortunately, there is plenty of space on the beach, even in high season.
Intrusive locals can bring some inconveniences, pestering tourists and offering all sorts of things. However, among them there are real masters of massage, as a rule, these are local women of advanced age.
In the evenings the beach tuns into real epicenter of the turbulent resort life. Nightclubs and karaoke bars open their doors and host parties till morning. In northern part of the beach there is one of the most popular nightclubs on the shore, The Potato Head Beach Club, where popular musicians and DJs perform.
Those who want to spend time in a romantic atmosphere choose small cozy restaurants where they can listen to live music and have a delicious dinner in the setting sun.
Seminyak is located six kilometers from the main international airport Ngurah Rai, tourists can get to it only by taxi, as regular buses run only to Kuta. Earlier the village used to be regular fishing village, but for the last 10 years it turned into one of the best Bali resorts with luxury hotels, restaurants, shops and spas.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.

Infrastructure
The beach is separated from the village with a motorway, along the road there are various hotels, restaurants, shops. It's characteristic feature of the entire local coast, that's why there are not so many hotels on the first line, most of them are on the northern part of Seminyak.

The main advantage of Seminyak is its close location to Kuta, the most popular Bali resorts. There is the biggest water park Waterboom Park on the island, ignoring this place will be the biggest mistake.
