Beach description
1km long beach has different landscapes: rocky beach with thickets of palm trees and snow-white sandy cloth under the scorching sun. But there is one thing that never changes which is turquoise sea and marvelous vies on the neighbouring island Pangan.
Ban Tai is usually divided into two parts, which are very different from each other. One part is covered with boulders and rocks, another is covered with fine white sand. In this regard, a more convenient entrance to the water has a sandy Ban Tai. The bottom is quite shallow, affected by tides; at this time water goes to 10-12m. For a comfortable swim adults will need to move away from the shore at a sufficiently large distance, but for children Ban Tai is an ideal place. Small tourists can spend the time near water safely, while their parents sunbathe, talk or drink delicious cocktails.
The entrance to the water is difficult thanks to underwater rocks and vegetation, so people need to be careful. Or to find the perfect Ban Tai area with clean bottom. Here people can meet not only other tourists but also the local islanders living nearby.
Ban Tai is quite famous beach, however even during a high season people here can find private place to enjoy the rest,without being distracted by the noise and conversation of strangers.

The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure
Ban Tai Beach doesn't have rich infrastructure, but all people need can be found nearby the beach.
Within a kilometer of the beach there are quite a lot of hotels and guesthouses of different price. The most popular are Mimosa Resort&Spa, BaanTai Tara 1 and The Lotus Terraces. Houses for rent can be easily found outside the ring road, which is located near Ban Tai.
On the beach territory there are several restaurants and cafes. Sometimes Ban Tai is calles "Mimosa" after the same named popular beach restaurant. Sometimes on the beach you can find makushitas (carts with local food), but the main shops, mini-market "7-eleven", laundry and rental equipment are located on the roads leading to the Ban Tai.
Sunbeds can be found on sandy part of Ban Tai, where the water entrance is the cleanest, there come most visitors. Umbrella should be taken with, choosing this part of the beach. Natural shade, hammocks and swings on the beach are present, but for them people need to go to the rocky part of the beach.

Transport accessibility
Ban Tai Beach is easy to find, but it's better to get there by own rented transport like bike. An Airport is located in 13km, the capital Naton is in 8km. Ban Tai is neighbouring with Mae Nam and Bang Po, so if some guests want bech activities, they can go there.
Sightseeings
Near Ban Tai there are no any attractions, but tourists are attracted by the palm with a plate with "This is Samui" signature, which makes this place popular for photoshoots.
