Tongson Beach is located on the territory of the picturesque bay of the same name, the view of which will amaze even the most experienced travelers in Thailand.
Thongson is a 500m long beach which can be divided into two parts: rocky and sandy. Grayish fine sand alternates with larger sand, stones and shells. Hotel stuff keep Central and Eastern part of the beach clean, Western part id full of natural rubbish.
At low tide, the sea on Thongson goes for quite a long distance, exposing rocks and corals, which make it difficult to enter the water. In addition, the real depth after low tide is 50-100 meters from the shore, which will be a problem for adults and a joy for children who love water fun. Strong waves are very frequent for Thongson, also there are no underwater streams.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure
It's difficult to call the infrastructure well developed, however on it's territory works big hotel Melati Beach Resort and Spa, about ten bungalows and Samui Emerald Resort. To the nearest shops and supermarkets with a minimum range of necessary things and products will have to go a kilometer or more. On the way laundry and cafes can be found.
There is only one restaurant and one kayak rental agency, so active beach life lovers will be bored here. People come here for peace and tranquility, as well as beautiful views of the bay.

Transport accessibility
It's not a problem to get to Thongson from Samui Airport, the distance between them is only 5km, moreover the taxi from airport will be the cheapest. Not so far there are Choeng Mon and Bo Phut Beaches, but it's better to get there by own transport.
