Nettuno is a well-maintained popular beach located in the province of Roma, 55 km south of Rome. This is a famous resort among Italians and tourists from different countries of Europe. In Nettuno, everyone can have a comfortable rest: families with kids, lovers, noisy companies. There is a wide long beach with free and paid areas. There are places where the bottom is very shallow for 40-50 meters, which is great for the youngest tourists, in other places the descent is gentle, but the depth is greater. The bottom and the beach are covered with the finest soft sand.
The sea is clean, warm and there are protective breakwaters. The season begins in July and ends in September. Most of the vacationers come here at the weekends – the people of Rome also love this beach, but they leave after 4 PM and the beach becomes mostly empty.
The infrastructure is well developed - there are free modern toilets, high-quality showers, comfortable changing rooms. Nettuno's best area is located in the west near the neighboring town of Anzio. You can get to the beach and hotel by transfer, taxi, train, bus or train. The cost of a ticket in public transport does not exceed 5 euros.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. There are many free areas and paid beach clubs on the territory. The “stabilimenti” sign means that you have to pay here to accommodate. The cost is 15 euros, this includes a lawn chair and an umbrella. You can relax on city beaches for free, one of which is located near the yacht port, to the left of the main church.
Lovers of traveling the open seas can rent a boat at one of the local yacht clubs. There are several currency exchange points near the pier, dozens of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops where you can have a delicious lunch and purchase the necessary goods.
You can take equipment for diving and underwater fishing for a while. The beach has a lot of space for active pastime: there is a place to play football on the beach, tennis, and volleyball. There are many inflatable slides and other entertainment venues for children on small sections of the coast.

The medieval Old Town of Borgo Medievale - the main attraction of the area -, built in 1300 in the era of the Orsini dynasty.
