Palmi beach
The sand and pebbly beach of Palmi city which is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea coast, was recognized one of the most beautiful places of Calabria, where rocky beach decorated with rich vegetation come close to the sea, leaving just a narrow band of land lower, by the very edge of water. It is especially hot there in the high season, and the beach is washed by sea, warm as steamed milk.

The beach is covered with fine sand, mixed with sharp gravel and obsidian gallets in some sites, so it is desirable to use special shoes. Even rocky bottom is well seen trough clear transparent water.
- The sand beach borders on picturesque site covered with large stones, where it is pleasant to relax on smooth boulders warmed with sun, feasting eyes upon the sea and the city, running down the slopes of Monte Sant'Eli mountain to water.

Palmi is situated almost 500 km away from Rome and 84 km away from Catanzaro, 48 km away from Reggio di Calabria. You can get to Palmi from Lamezia Terme (SUF), the main international airport of Calabria, by taxi or a rented car.
