Beach description
Beach coating throughout the area is different, mainly sand. The entry into the sea is also heterogeneous. In the northern part of the beach there are several reefs, where tourists like to arrange a photo shoot. There are almost no waves here, since Kaminia is a bay, the natural breakwaters of which are mountains, that go straight into the sea.
The beach has all the necessary infrastructure: beach clubs, rental of equipment for active rest.
There are no sights in the outskirts, but everything is not far in Calabria. From here it is possible to go to Santa Severina, where the majestic castle of the 11th century is located, in which there is now a museum. It can be viewed for 4 euros.
Kaminia Beach can be reached by train to Montepaone Montauro Station. Then it will be necessary to go by taxi. There is parking lot near the beach, but in high season it is difficult to find a place. It is necessary to leave a bit earlier.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
