Trebisacce beach
On the Ionian Sea coast, in Trebisacce area, there is located a port, small by European standards, in water area of which, fishing vessels and tour yachts moor. All these things and a river flowing into the sea in these places make sea water a bit turbid.

Beach description
The beach is pebbly, like the sea entry. Some pebbles ar very large. There is nothing to do here without special shoes. Although, foot massage fans train here but children don't feel very comfortable. Trebisacce is stretched along the shore, and free shower cabins are installed in each 50 meters. The sea entry is shallow in the beginning. Depth starts approximately at 5 meters but sometimes, waves are really high, and wave riders have fun by the shore.
A walking alley is laid a bit higher. The beach is surrounded with picturesque rocks that are a lovely view during the promenade. Trebisacce has luxury villas where one night costs 1000 Euros. Farther in the city, accommodation is more modest, and cheaper.
Among sights, the medieval fortress, that was built on the cliff to protect the coast from pirates that preyed on Calabria in the 18th century, is of great interest. Tourists don't just walk past the beautiful Baroque San Nicola church; moreover, festivals and celebrations are held in these places all year long.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
