Beach description
The central beach of Parghelia is small but cozy and well-equipped. Shore: sand and pebbles. The sea entry is pebbly, so it is desirable to use special shoes, especially if you are accompanied by kids.
The beach gives numerous options for active recreation: diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, riding catamarans, banana boats, yachts. You can go for a sea tour to Aeolian Islands and Stromboli active volcano.
Life in this region goes in slow pace, but on weekends, especially in August, the locals organize fairs and festivals. Anything can become a reason: harvest of potatoes, tomatoes, and other vegetables or fruits.
You can get to Parghelia Beach by electric train to the station Parghelia, by car down the road А3.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
