Joyosa-Jonica is the famous beach on the south coast of the Ionian Sea, located in the center of Lokrid, Calabria region.

Beach description
The coast and bottom are covered with fine sand and small shingle. Lowering the bottom is smooth, it is shallow here. Sometimes there are strong wind, big waves, restrained by breakwaters. The water is pure, clear, blue, inherent only to the Ionian Sea. Despite the large number of tourists due to the wide beach there is a place for everyone on the coastline. The beach is suitable for rest with family, friends.
Near Gioiosa Jonica, there are no more than 10 hotels of different levels of comfort: from 3 to 5 stars. Depending on the accomodation, the price is from $ 50 to $ 100 per day. It is possible to get to the apartment from the airport by electric train, booked transfer, car, taxi.
