San Nicola Arcella beach
San Nicola Arcella is represented by several beaches on the Tyrrhenian Sea coastline near the same-name city in north Calabria that gained popularity due to magnificent beauty of mountains surrounding the sea. The creeky coastline has bays and rocky formations of curious shapes that rise from waters, adding special charm to the beaches.

The most popular beach of San Nicola Arcella gained popularity due to the giant rock that rises from waters, in the center of which, a large hole was formed by joint efforts of time, wind, and sea. The hole that was formed in a natural way is considered an arc, and the beach was called Grotta dell'Arco Magno.
Tour motor boats go between the beach and the land every day, and bring tourists to Grotta dell'Arco Magno; nevertheless, this place is not too crowded.
Most beaches are covered with sand and тhave the sand bottom as well. The entrance to the water is gentle. Fine stones on the bottom are very well seen through clear transparent water. There are secluded wild spots loved by hermit tourists and romantic couples.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
