La Pinta beach

Beach is for outdoor enthusiasts

Those who like to relax actively prefer the small beach of La Pinta in the resort of Las Americas. The beach area smoothly flows into the resort area of Fanabe.

Beach description

The length of the beach strip is only 250 meters, and the depth is 50 meters. But the entry into the sea is shallow, and the bottom is flat. The beach is artificial, sand, with golden sand. There is a children's area on the beach, which makes swimming for children safe here. The water is mainly calm. There are no big waves. All this makes La Pinta a favorite place for divers. An inflatable trampoline town in the water, which operates in the summer season, is also equipped here for children.

Since the port is located nearby, some particularly picky vacationers smell the diesel fuel. And there are never waves, since for moored swimming facilities this is unacceptable. The beach is clean, suitable for children. Admiring the moored yachts in the evening is also fun. Since Puerto Colon is the extreme tip of Las Americas, it is much calmer here. Just one popular institution with discos El Faro, which was chosen by Russian tourists. But the promenade is long, you can walk at least one way, at least in the other direction, going into shops and benches.

When is it better to go

In Tenerife, you can relax all year round, but the most comfortable months for a beach holiday are July, August and September. In winter, the island is prone to precipitation and strong winds. The temperature of the ocean all year round is around +21 °C.

Infrastructure

Nearby are the luxury Costa Adeje hotels. And a lot of affordable apartments. The most expensive hotels will cost 400 € per day, the cheapest apartments will cost 10 times cheaper. Cafe, snack bars for any wallet. From the most expensive to the most budget. There are many shops where the prices of some things are lower than on the continent. The beach has all the necessary equipment: umbrellas and sunbeds - a couple of 4 €, shower and toilet. La Pinta is equipped for disabled people, lifeguards work daily.

From here you can go sea fishing or take a walk along the coast, look at dolphins and whales in the natural environment, and not in the conditions of water parks. Tickets can be purchased right there in the daytime.

On La Pinte, it’s not as noisy as in Las Americas, although in the evenings you can hear songs from karaoke bars. This area is popular with both young people and couples with children. The former - thanks to budget housing and the proximity of party places, the latter - thanks to calm, wave-free water.

What to see

In Tenerife there are many natural monuments that are worth exploring in between beach vacations. In addition to the Teide National Park, tourists are also interested in:

  • Infierno ravine
  • Esperanza Forest
  • Taoro Park

A walking route through the Infierno National Park with a length of more than six kilometers is laid through exotic forests, mountains and the gorge itself. Here, its is the unique nature and amazing microclimate.

Esperanza Forest is called the "place of power", as coniferous forests grow here: local cedar, Canary pine, eucalyptus. This natural pharmacy grows in the open air. It is convenient to visit when there is no rain. And the aroma here is extraordinary, as the air is saturated with coniferous extracts. In general, the climate of Tenerife is shown even to allergy sufferers and is beneficial for children and adults.

The beautiful 10-hectare Taoro Park is located in the north, near the town of Puerto de la Cruz. It is man-made park. But the place is very beautiful, where alleys, waterfalls and fountains are equipped. There are places for sports.
