Fish Hoek beach
Fish Hoek – a picturesque sandy beach on the shores of the city of the same name on the Atlantic coast, until recently was considered one of the safest places for swimming and relaxing with young children. However, due to the increasing mortal attacks of large white sharks, swimming even in shallow water, its popularity has declined.

Beach description
The beach area is covered with white sand. The descent is smooth and the bottom is sandy. Sometimes it is windy and low waves form, suitable for beginner windsurfers and kitesurfers. There are changing cabins, showers, rental items for beach equipment, surfboards. There are cafes nearby. Rescue services on duty, which closely monitor the appearance of sharks, have been installed.
In the western part of the beach there are playgrounds, stone pools. Fish Hoek is not crowded.
Fur seals often come to the beach and crawl ashore, which locals feed with fish. Tourists do not want to do this because animals bite.
