Beach description
A wide coastline, covered with golden sand, is surrounded by cliffs. The descent into the water is gentle, the bottom is sandy, the water is warm, but high waves interfere with bathing. It is often windy. The beach is located on the territory of the National Reserve of the Robberg Peninsula, where there are nests of rare birds, a trail of a rare species of otters, a monkey reserve and a whale observation station.
Robberg is a wild deserted beach where privacy lovers prefer to relax. There are several hotels nearby. You can get to the beach as part of an excursion to the reserve, by taxi, rented a car on the navigator or transfer from the airport to the hotel.
When is it better to go
The best time for a beach holiday and swimming on the coast of South Africa falls in the low season – from November to March. The water temperature in the Indian Ocean rises to + 23-25 °C, in the Atlantic – to + 18-20 °C. The air temperature reaches + 30 °C, but the fresh ocean breeze makes you feel comfortable.
