Eurwangni beach
Eurwangni (을왕리) is a free city beach located in the southwest of Yongyudo Island, near Incheon Airport, an hour and a half drive from Seoul. The beach is very popular with locals who come here as a family for a weekend to swim, sunbathe, enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the horizon, visit local restaurants.

Beach description
Eurwangni Beach is a crescent-shaped white sand beach with a gentle entrance to the sea. The length of the beach is about 700 m, the width does not exceed 200 m. The depth of the sea in the coastal zone is about 1.5 m, to get to a greater depth, you must go behind the buoys. Due to the large area of shallow water, Eurwangni is perfect for families with children. The coast is covered with sand, small shells and pebbles. Due to the muddy bottom, the color of the sea in the area of the beach is dirty blue, and the water is cloudy. At low tide, the coastal area of the beach opens up greatly. Children use it to play and build sand castles.
On weekends, the beach is so crowded that it’s hard to find a free place. For this reason, it is often dirty, and it is difficult for visitors arriving in their own car to park in the area. The main guests of the beach are Koreans themselves, there are very few foreign tourists here. In this regard, visiting the Eurwangni beach is a great way to get acquainted with the local culture, to observe the features of Korean life in the vicinity.
Resting here, you will notice that many visitors use small tents instead of standard beach umbrellas and deck chairs. In them they hide from the sun and store their things. They often have a picnic near the tents and even set up a grill.
You can get to Eurwangni Beach from Seoul or Bucheon by bus, rental car or taxi.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.
