Seonyudo beach
The sandy Seonyudo Beach stretches along the west coast of the Korean peninsula. 50 kilometers separate the beach from the closest locality - the city of Gunsan - and the best way to come here is by taxi, but you can also get here by ferry, bus or train. And once you come here, you can rent a bicycle to explore Seonyudo Beach and the neighboring beaches.

The main sandy beach is surrounded by small and large rocks with absolutely breathtaking views. This is a beloved spot for Koreans to celebrate New Year or watch sunsets that look simply magnificent in this scenic region. The beach is suitable for swimming and sunbathing on the white soft sand in the Summer, or for active vacations at any time of year.
When making your way around the coastal area, you will be able to clearly see the bridges that connect the beach with the neighboring islands, an ancient temple and also learn the local legends about the names of the mountains and the king. The islands are also known for fishing, so if you stay at the camping site on the beach, you'll be guaranteed a great supper, tons of new emotions and unforgettable experience.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.
