So riding the "rail bicycle", as locals call it, isn't the only purpose of the beach, as there are other activities for a longer period of time. And local restaurants that serve unique Korean cuisine work during nighttime as well.
The beach's location is also very convenient, as it's situated in the town of the same name, just several kilometers away from Gangneung, so you can get here by bus, taxi or a rented car. Some recreation zones are quite accessible, so the path from the train station to the white beach is worth it. All the necessary conveniences - like a parking lot, changing rooms, showers etc. - are available for free.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.
