Sangju beach
The giant Sangju Beach is located on the south coast of the Korean peninsula. The 2 km long and quite wide beach area is covered in silver sand, the water is very clean and the scenic thickets near the shore are a great destination for excursions. Pine forests and rice fields with nearby mountains protect the beach from strong winds.

This is a great place for watching sunrise, walking on the cool morning water and soft sand and fishing at the nearby islands. Sangju Beach is quite crowded even outside the beach season, the loud children games and lonely meditating tourists won't leave anyone bored.
The infrastructure here is quite developed: a parking lot, changing rooms and a shower that only operate during Summer and may not work in the beginning of September. The majority of hotels are villas with a great view from their windows. As the beach is located in the Namhae Gongyong county, the best way to get here is by bus. The beach has a comfortable and smooth descent into water (which attracts visitors with children), and there are extreme sports activities one can partake in, such as:
- kiting;
- windsurfing;
- snorkeling;
- sailing;
- yachting;
- water skiing etc.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.
