Hanagae Beach
People usually make their way to the Muuido Island, where the Hanagae Beach is located, via ferry. It doesn't take long and isn't very complicated. The tides here are unstable, and sometimes the water can flood the coast quite a lot. The surface here is unique, as there are both sandy patches, with a large amount of shells clearly visible in the shallow area, and stone, even rocky, patches.

You can spend the night at the beach: either rent one of the many small houses in the coastal area or get to a nearby camping site. Camping, as well as making bonfires, is prohibited on the beach itself. You can also find a much more luxurious accomodation on the island, and the local hotels always welcome the visitors.
Besides the traditional sunbathing and swimming the beach also offers such activities as ATV riding, water skiing or mountain hiking. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises will make you think about the meaning of life, calmness and solitude. Tourists can be encountered on the beach, but not a lot of them, so you'll definitely be able to find a spot during high season. This is a perfect place for those who want to breathe sea air mixed with pine forest, rest from the hustle and bustle and experience true calmness.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.
