Loutsa beach
Lutsa (Artemis) is a sandy beach located 25 km from the central part of Athens. It is known for coniferous grove, paved paths, soft and pleasant to the touch sand. Its length exceeds 3 km. This beach is characterized by a strong wind, a smooth set of depth and good waves. It is popular with surfers, swimmers and diving fans. Also here rests youth, families with children and gastronomic tourists.

He also has the following advantages:
- good location - near the beach there is a supermarket, a shopping center, a large port, several bus stops;
- gastronomic diversity - in the vicinity of Lutsa there is a Greek tavern, a strike house, a continental restaurant, a couple of cafes and bars;
- developed infrastructure - the beach has wide deck chairs, brand new toilets, showers, changing rooms, garbage bins and lifeguard towers;
Buses from Athens run to Lutsa daily. You can also get here by personal transport, taxi or a rented boat.
Useful information: 10 km from the beach are the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Bravron. They include the remains of the temple, the Byzantine church, fragments of houses and public buildings. Also here is one of the best archaeological museums in Greece.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
