Eretria beach
Eretria is a city beach of the eponymous resort, especially popular among young people and the Greeks themselves, located in the western part of the island of Euboea, near Chalkis (only 20 km). In beauty, it loses to the beaches of North Evia, but in terms of arrangement and infrastructure, it is simply ideal for a comfortable stay.

Beach description
The vast long shoreline is covered with sand, in some places mixed with fine pebbles, which cover the sea bottom of this beach. There are sun loungers and straw umbrellas on the beach, and you can eat in one of the several taverns on the beach itself. Unlike many other beaches, Eretria has many beach bars that open late and often organize youth parties.
Eretria is always crowded. To avoid large crowds of tourists, it's better to come here on weekdays, when the beach is not packed with locals, or early in the morning, which will allow you to find a convenient spot. This is a paradise for lovers of beach holidays and nightlife.
You can get here from Athens by ferry. There are many interesting places to relax and establishments where you can have a good meal at Eretria Resort. It is worth visiting the museums of the city and admire the architectural heritage of the ancient Greeks.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
