Gialtron beach

Gialtron (or Yialtra) is a small but picturesque beach near the village of Edipsos in northwest Euboea, considered one of the best thermal resorts of the island. People come here for a quiet holiday on the sandy coast and swimming not only in the clear sea, but also in the best natural baths of Evia. It is from the thermal springs of Gialtron that the Yialtra beach got its more famous name.

Beach description

The beach is located at a short distance from the village promenade, where you can find a lot of cozy cafes and restaurants with delicious food and beautiful panoramic sea views. At the marina, you can rent a boat to take a walk around the beach or book a cruise on a powerboat for a longer trip to these picturesque places of Euboea.

The sea waters here impress with incredible transparency, and even at a considerable distance from the shore you can see the clear bottom of the sea, and amazing emerald and turquoise hues. Holidaymakers can rent umbrellas and sun loungers. Gialtron hot springs are located approximately 3 km from the coast. Approximately 2 hours' drive separates this paradise for beach and wellness holidays from Chalkida.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
