Politika beach
Politika is the picturesque beach of the island of Euboea, located next to the fishing village of the same name, 25 km from Chalkida. People come here for privacy, amid impressive nature and swimming in amazingly clear turquoise waters.

The wide and long (2.5 km) sand and pebble shoreline, mostly covered with big pebbles, is surrounded by an emerald cut of the picturesque forest, where you can walk after swimming on the beach of Politika. The sea waters are impressively clean and the shore is covered with dark sand with white and gray pebbles. Entry into the sea is gentle with a significant part of shallow waters, but sometimes quite large waves are formed here.
Sun loungers and straw umbrellas are provided on the shore, and there is an organized camping. In summer, there is a cafe and a pizzeria on the shore. The beautiful but wild beach infrastructure of Politika is limited by this. In the village itself you can find decent taverns and restaurants, and on the promenade you can rent a boat or a powerboat for boat tours.
An ancient lighthouse on the shore of the Politika beach serves as some kind of business card and an adornment of the beach. In the village you can admire the original traditional architecture and the castle, erected in the 13th century.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
