Lalaria beach

Lalaria is entirely covered with round white pebbles with a grayish shade. The entrance to the water is a little steep, so if you decide to come here with kids, you'll probably need to look after them. The bottom is also pebbly, and periodically there are quite large stones and boulders sticking out of the water. Cliffs with caves and grottoes are very close to Lalaria. In the eastern part of the beach there is a natural stone arch of magic beauty, against which you can take beautiful pictures.

The disadvantages of the beach are its inaccessability and lack of amenities. You can get to Lalaria only by boat, which leaves the capital of Skiathos twice a day. Sometimes, flights are canceled literally in the same day due to the north wind, which causes strong waves at sea. It is better to see the weather forecast in a day or two so you don't miss the trip. It should be noted that the best time to go to the beach is in the morning, especially at the end of the summer, because in the afternoon it is completely hidden under the shadow of the cliffs, therefore, you cannot sunbathe.

Please be aware that there is no infrastructure in Lalaria: there are no umbrellas, no sunbeds, no toilets, no food and drink facilities. You should take care of independently and in advance. However, the natural beauty of Lalaria is worth all the difficulties on the way to it.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
