Vromolimnos beach
Vromolimnos is a small but cozy beach hidden in a bay. It is distinguished by warm and bright blue water, calm weather, lots of greenery. People come here for comfort, good service and beautiful landscapes. They also cook the best fish on the whole island of Skiathos and offer a wide range of soft drinks.

Beach description
The beach is covered with golden sand. There are no stones, sea urchins, shingle and other objects, that prevent you from walking barefoot. But there is crystal clear water with a soft bottom. As for the waves - they are rarely observed and are small in size. Vromolimnos is equipped with sunbeds along the entire coast. On the "second line" of the beach there are coniferous trees, under which it is possible to shelter from the summer heat. A separate advantage of the beach is perfectly clean air and clear water.
Vromolimnos is popular among merried couples, fans of family rest and “passive tourists”. It is located on the western side of the Kalamaki Peninsula, 8 km from the island's capital. Buses from Skiathos regularly run here (stop number 13). Regular and water taxis also go to these places. To get to the beach by private car, it is necessary to drive west along the coastline and reach the village of Kolios. Next it is necessary to get to the hotel Villa Papas, turn left and go straight until see the sea.
The main audience of the beach is youth, families, gastronomic and sports tourists. They come here for the following activities:
- exploration of mountain peaks and rainforests;
- sunbathing under the accompaniment of the best hits of the summer;
- tasting of sea dishes and exotic drinks;
- scuba diving or snorkeling;
- rideing inflatable boats, canoeing, water skiing, wakeboard;
- independent boat trips on rented launchs, boats;
- sea cruises around the island.
Fans of "wild tourism" are also not forgotten - the peripheral part of the beach is at their disposal. There is almost no infrastructure, but there is silence, peace and beautiful trees. Near Vromolimnos there is a picturesque lake, inhabited by black swans, exotic fish and beautiful plants. This place was named after it. There are also a volleyball pitch and tennis court (at the hotel territory).
Vromolimnos is the second most popular beach of the island (after Kukunaris). Its central part is filled with people at 9 a.m. already. But on the periphery it is possible to find free space even at rush hours.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

In 50 m from the beach is a 3-star hotel Skiathos Holidays. The following services are offered on the territory:

- diving lessons and equipment rent;

All rooms have separate bathrooms, widescreen televisions and powerful air conditioning facilities. Their windows and balconies offer beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. On the territory of the hotel are both a well-kept garden and a Greek tavern.
In the center of the beach are located a couple of bars and taverns. There are wide sunbeds and parasols, comfortable toilets, spacious changing cabins and lifeguard towers. Active tourists are advised to visit the Stefanos Ski School - there you can rent a transport, book a tour, take diving and transport lessons.

- the architectural complex "Old Town of Skiathos" (Greek-style residential buildings built 100-150 years ago);
- the house-museum of Alexander Papadiamantis – a magnificent manor where the things and manuscripts of one of the greatest Greek poets are stored;
- blue house – an art gallery of modern and ancient art;
- the church of the three hierarchs – the most beautiful church on the whole island.
