Leftos Gialos beach
The picturesque Leftos Gialos Beach, which is located in a wooded area on the island of Alonissos, is a great option for outdoor recreation. On this secluded sandy and pebble coast, you can enjoy the sea and the pristine Greek landscapes without leaving the bosom of civilization.

Beach description
The beach is small, not wide, covered with sand and round pebbles, pleasant to the touch: the pebble surface becomes wider as further you go to its northern side. The descend into the water is comfortable and gentle, perfectly suited for families with small children. Leftos Gialos is located in that part of Alonisos, which is mostly covered with forests, so the beach is surrounded by trees that give a natural shade.
The infrastructure is not well developed. There is a working bar in the summer. If you buy a drink there, you will get the right to use one of the free sun loungers (note, that not all sun loungers can be used in this way). Everything else is better to take with you. The road comes close to the beach, all the way from Leftos Gialos to Votsi takes no more than 4 km.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
