Dam Trau beach
Dam Trau Beach is located 15 kilometers north of Con Son and the airport of Con Dao Island. Part of the path goes along a sandy road along the ocean: so you have time to tune in the right mood before the end of the route. Furnishing is the main advantage of this place, and its good natural characteristics make it a great place to relax for a variety of people.

Beach description
The deep and soft sand of golden color, which is found only here, is considered the best among all beaches of Vietnam. The colour of the water is also darker and more intense than elsewhere. Moderate wind and gentle descent into the water, as well as the richness of marine life will please both children and those who like to dive with a mask. On the left side of the beach, behind the cliffs, there is a small lagoon: During the rainy season, the water here seems to be bubbling and getting very warm due to the streams flowing down from the mountains. Here you can also see real mangrove trees and coconut palms. In front of the entrance to Dam Trau there is a parking lot, several inexpensive restaurants and rent of water equipment and deck chairs.
When is it better to go?
Since Vietnam is a country stretching from north to south, the climate in its different parts is slightly different. In the north, high humidity and temperature are observed from May to October, but in the remaining months it is slightly drier and cooler. In the South, the rainy season is longer, lasting from may to November, but even after it ends, the humidity does not subside. Therefore, it is better to go to popular resorts in the south of the country in winter or early spring.
