Нo Coc beach
Ho Coc Beach is a fairly secluded place in the south of Vietnam. The coastal zone of just 1.5 km in the province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is very underpopulated. Soft sand and clear water create a special meditative mood and allow those who come here to relax physically and relax mentally from the noisy society and city bustle.

A narrow strip of sand has a moderate slope into the water, a little further it becomes deep. On weekdays, almost no one is here. It is possible to sunbathe, swim calmly, enjoy the picturesque surroundings: sand dunes, rainforest, reefs.
If you’re tired of sunbathing, not far from there are the popular Bin Chau hot springs,which are opened for visiting. The temperature in the swimming pool, formed by several lakes and a highly mineralized aquifer, remains at around 80 °C all year round.
Near the beach there is where to stay for the night or have dinner. Most tourists come here for a few days to rest from the bustle of Ho Chi Minh or Vung Tau. It is noisy only on weekends, the rest of the time neither traders nor crowds of tourists distract from the relaxation. It is possible to pitch a tent right on the coast, without even thinking about returning to the hotel.
Those who wish can be in the shoes of a Vietnamese fisherman by renting a boat and fishing equipment. The dream of fish and oysters, caught in your own hands, will come true here. The huge barrier reef provides opportunities for the best diving and spearfishing in the world. And 11,000 hectares of rainforest, approaching the coast, will let forget about the existence of an oppressive civilization.
When is the best time to go?
Since Vietnam is a country stretching from north to south, the climate in its different parts is slightly different. In the north, high humidity and temperature are observed from May to October, but in the remaining months it is slightly drier and cooler. In the South, the rainy season is longer, lasting from may to November, but even after it ends, the humidity does not subside. Therefore, it is better to go to popular resorts in the south of the country in winter or early spring.

Locals, hotel staff and restaurants are very friendly to tourists. Menus of restaurants and cafes offer dishes of Vietnamese, European cuisine, East Asian delights. Here they will serve pizza and sushi, cook pork chops and Peking duck, surprise with borsch with sour cream or Banh Khot crepes. They are prepared from rice flour in the form of a plate, where they add shrimp, pork, vegetables.
Seafood specialties can be enjoyed right on the beach. Locals will cook freshly caught shrimp, crab and squid right there, not far from the sea.
For full-fledged shopping, it is better to go to larger cities - Ho Chi Minh City or Vung Tau, the infrastructure near No Coc Beach is poorly developed. In Vung Tau, tourists will find a large shopping and entertainment center, a shop selling equipment and clothes for kitesurfing. There are always fresh products, souvenirs, household items on the market. The fish market near the harbour is full of the freshest seafood, here is the place to apply your bargaining skills.
To purchase souvenirs of local craft, it is better to go to the night market. Traditional costumes and dresses made of silk, Vietnamese hats are sold everywhere. From the trip it is worth bringing bamboo blinds, cane and leather products, ceramics, lacquered caskets and rosewood vases, jewelry.

- Ho Chi Minh International Airport is just a couple of hours drive from Ho Coc Beach. You can go there by minibus from the bus station or by taxi, which takes the traveler directly to the hotel.
- April and May are the perfect time to relax on Ho Coc. The water temperature in the sea jumps to 30. From July to September it is wet and cold.
- It is permissible to go on vacation with children if they are at the age when they can already survive a long flight. There are at least recreational activities here, a child can be carried away inly by thematic excursions or trips to national parks. Hotels will not offer animation programs, they will delight kids only with the presence of a pool or playground.
