Doc Let beach
Doc Let Beach, also known as Zok Let, may be modest in width, but it boasts an impressive length of approximately 10 km. Located a mere 50 km from the bustling Nha Trang, it unfurls its stunning white sands reminiscent of the Maldives or Bora Bora. The coast is framed by the azure embrace of the sea on one side and the vibrant greenery of palm thickets on the other. Shielding this tranquil haven from the outside world, picturesque dunes adorned with coniferous trees stand sentinel, ensuring peace and serenity for all who visit.

Beach description
The coast of Doc Let is conditionally divided into two parts: one is a paid area where visitors can relax in a more exclusive setting, while the other is frequented by local vacationers. For those who have explored the area, there is a path that leads to the free section of the beach. Here, you can choose where to settle down - either stay among the Vietnamese on the free part or move to the more equipped and pristine half.
From May to September, the weather at Doc Let is idyllic, with very few cloudy days. The warm, comfortable climate sets in, and the sea temperature rises to nearly 30 degrees Celsius. The "winter" temperature of 23 degrees may only seem cool to the heat-loving locals. Like much of the Vietnamese coast, Doc Let is breezy with waves. However, the gently sloping coast, covered with dazzling white sand and quickly warming waters, makes it a favorite destination for families with small children.
Doc Let attracts tourists with its:
- Low population density.
- Stunning blue lagoons and deserted beaches, perfect for romantic souls and young couples seeking solitude.
- Calmer sea compared to Nha Trang.
- Family-friendly environment, especially for those with small children.
- Amenities such as showers, toilets, sunbeds, and umbrellas.
- A variety of dining options that are both delicious and affordable.
- Proximity to a local market that has everything needed for a picnic.
- Water sports available for an additional fee.
- Day tours to hot springs and mud baths, complete with massage and other services.
- Rental services for water scooters, kayaks, parachutes, and other forms of entertainment.
When is the best time to visit?
The best time to visit Vietnam for a beach vacation largely depends on which part of the country's extensive coastline you plan to visit. Vietnam's climate varies from north to south, with distinct wet and dry seasons that can affect your beach experience.
- North Vietnam: For beaches in the north, such as those near Hanoi, the ideal time is from May to August when the weather is warm and sunny, perfect for beach activities.
- Central Vietnam: Destinations like Da Nang, Hoi An, and Nha Trang are best visited from January to August. These months offer clear skies and calm waters, with July and August being peak months for sunshine.
- South Vietnam: In southern areas, including Phu Quoc and Vung Tau, the prime time for a beach holiday is the dry season, from November to April, when rainfall is minimal and the sun is often out.
Overall, for a beach vacation that covers multiple regions in Vietnam, the most favorable months are March to August. During this period, you're likely to encounter the best beach weather, regardless of where you are along the coast.

Infrastructure
The village adjacent to the beach is not typically a tourist destination. It features quaint shops and cafes where you can mingle with locals, several pharmacies, and a market offering clothing. At the entrance to the central hotels, seafood cafes serve delectable set lunches, and there's also the option to purchase fresh fruits. Signs are often displayed in the Russian language.
Near Doc Let, more authentic cafes abound, providing opportunities to interact with Vietnamese residents. These establishments generally operate only on weekends.
Several hotels are situated right on the beachfront. Some are perched directly on the sand, while a few budget-friendly guesthouses are located about 300 meters from the shore. In the northern area, the GM Doc Let Beach Resort & Spa, a 4-star establishment, offers guests three meals a day. Its comfortable rooms are conveniently near the beach, ensuring a tranquil environment complemented by the soothing sounds of the sea and the enchanting night sky.
Seafood and fruits, particularly those in season, are available at reasonable prices. However, foreigners may encounter slightly inflated costs. Local wines come highly recommended, and alcohol is sold inexpensively, though cafe prices are marginally higher. The most affordable products can be found at local markets. For branded items, a trip to Nha Trang's larger shopping centers is advisable, where prices are on par with those in Russia. Vietnamese brands offer better value and commendable quality.
The infrastructure leaves something to be desired. Popular activities include jet skiing, parasailing, and excursions with fishermen to sample fresh seafood. Tourists venturing to Doc Let by bike have the chance to capture stunning photographs of rice paddies and salt fields, as well as panoramic views of Nha Trang.
