Fourni beach
Fourni is a small beach located near Monolithos Castle. It is washed by the Aegean sea and is suitable for photos against a background of rocky landscapes, caves and golden sand. Fournia is the favorite beach of Rhodes surfers.

Beach description
The beach is washed by the Aegean Sea and has the following infrastructure facilities:
- shower stalls;
- changing cabins;
- chair loungers and sunlight umbrellas;
There is a small cafes with generous portions and low prices. The beach is decorated with mountains, cave complexes, grottos and bright blue sea. Furni is a vivid example of a quiet and almost deserted place with the benefits of civilization. It has some differences with previous beach such as large waves and windy weather.
Furny Beach will be desired by the following categories of people:
- travelers wishing to conquer the mountains and explore the caves;
- surfing fans;
- vacationers who prefers peace and quiet rest;
- a lover looking for a secluded place with minimal infrastructure.
A Significant part of the beach is pebbles, but sand is also found. The local waters are deep, crystal clear and unpredictable. To get to Furni, you need to reach the castle Monolitis and turn down, to the sea. Right turn are indicated on the map. As for buses – unfortunately (or fortunately), they do not go here.
Important: the road to the beach serves a steep and narrow serpentine. It will require good driving skills and extreme caution.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
