Kathara beach
Kafara is a 3-km long beach with steep cliffs, lots of greenery and white sand. The beach is located in the vicinity of Filaraki. The distance from Kafara to Rhodes is only 12.5 kilometers. This distance can be covered by public transport, taxi or private car.

Cafara beach has the following features:
- a slow depth set ideal for children;
- 10 water activities including boat trips, sea excursions, boat rental, hydrocycles and catamarans;
- a large number of bars, cafes and restaurants;
- modern toilets, shower rooms, changing booths.
Kafar is known for its clean beach, windless weather, almost complete absence of waves. Both families and the party-makers rest on its territory. The latter are fun in clubs and music bars of Filaraki. The village has a souvenir shop, market and the best restaurants in the region.
Caffar is one of the cleanest beaches. Its well-being is confirmed by the international award "Blue Flag".
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
