Agia Paraskevi beach

There is a quiet beach of Agia Paraskevi between Monolithos beach and Kamera, it is very attractive for people who have already outgrown the desire for a stormy pastime peculiar to youth. The place is secluded, sparsely populated and very beautiful. Black sand is mixed with pebbles. The purity of the water and the beach itself is almost the same as in neighboring Kamari, awarded the Blue Flag - a prestigious international award for the exemplary state of water.

Beach description

A chair lounge with an umbrella, the sun bed costs less money than on the famous crowded beaches. Also, from the blazing rays of the Mediterranean sun, you can hide in the shade of trees. Tavern is opened near the beach. One of the leisure activities is to observe flights of aircraft taking off and landing nearby at the local airport, although some silent fans may irritate the sound of the motors of steel birds. This factor should be considered when planning a visit to Agia Paraskevi.

the Beach was named after a nearby village, and it took it from a church built in honor of St. Paraskevs, the memory of which the villagers celebrate on July 26 of each year.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
