Monolithos beach
There is a wonderful beach with soft and fine black sand - Monolithos, located in the southeast, next to the village of the same name. Its coast descends into the sea with a gentle line, the depth remains small for a long time. For this reason, this place is often chosen by people resting on the coast with children. The beach is spacious, there are no crowds and fuss.

For younger generation there is a good playground with attractions, there are places for playing basketball and football, for parents ‒ volleyball court, taverns, cafe. Comfortable changing cabins are provided. There are areas where beach beds, sun loungers are rented. But it is quite comfortable to settle under shady trees, which can boast not every beach of Santorini.
Slightly breaking Monolitos beach ideal can be a strong wind, often hosting in local places and raising a mass of sand into the air. There is an airport of Santorini near this place. It is also one of the beach's most exciting activities to look on takeoffs and landings of mighty jumbo jets.
The Easiest way to get to the beach is through the coast through the village of Carteradas, then turning to the right on a dirt road that runs parallel to the rocks. There are many people who want to bring tourists to the famous beach: taxi service is available and can be reached by bus.

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing.
