Eros beach

Beach description
The Eros Beach is located in the south of the island, below Vlychada and above Red. It's so isolated that many tourists don't even know about its existence on Santorini. So the main visitors are those who like solitude and want to rest from the civilization and loud crowds of people.
The long shoreline is 6 km in length and 35 m in width. The surface is sandy: some patches are golden, some are black. It's always quiet and comfortable here, as many high mountains protect Eros from high winds. The slopes add to the exotic landscapes of the shoreline, like they were ripped straight out of space fiction.
It is sometimes windy here and high waves can occur, so take note of that if you plan a vacation here. The blue water here is clear and clean. But be careful, as there are sharp stones near the shore, don't cut yourself.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Infrastructure
The infrastructure at a minimum level is well developed. On a territory of the beach are many umbrellas under which you can hide yourself from the heat.

You can get to Eros beach by renting a car. The car will have to be left upstairs, in an equipped parking lot and from the top of the hills to go down to the coast along the sandy steps leading down.
Eros is rarely indicated on local maps. In order not to get confused and get to the destination, it is best to rent a car with a local driver who knows the southern edge of the island well. It is worth considering that the beach is especially popular among nudists.
There are no interesting sights nearby. Therefore, if there is no desire for continued solitude from civilization, then you can limit yourself to a one-day visit to this place.
