Cala Sisine beach

Cala Sizine is a small wild beach, located in the Orosei Bay between the vertical cliffs of Serra Ovra in eastern Sardinia.

Beach description

The bay is located between rocky ridges, carob trees in a beautiful mountainous area. The length of the beach is 200 meters, the total width is not more than 100 meters. The sea is calm, pure, the bottom is rocky.

On the beach there is round, granular coarse sand mixed with shingle. Tourists come here to dive with a mask, scuba dive and enjoy the colourful underwater world.

It is possible to get to Cala Sizine by taxi, personal transport. Excursion ships go from the coastline in eastern Sardinia, from which it is possible to admire the beauty of the local nature. It is possible to rent a boat and go on a trip to the bay by yourself. The tourist season is from June until August, the sea is warmed up as much as possible by mid-August. Waves are absent, wind is moderate.

Near the beach there is a pond with fresh water, where it is possible to wash off the sand from feet and salt water. Going further, the tourist will see a restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine and delicious soft drinks. From the terrace there is a beautiful view of the valley.

When is it better to go

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
