Liscia Ruja beach
Licia Ruzha is the largest free public beach, located in Porto Cervo, in northern Sardinia, on the Costa Smeralda, between the villages of Cala di Volpe and Portisco. Second name is Long Beach.

Beach description
The entry to the beach is situated near the hotel and not far from Peter Mann with the most beautiful villas on the coastline. The beach is sandy, wide, long, in the form of an arc or a crescent moon, located on a large territory of the coastline along a round shallow bay. The water is blue-green, pure, warm; the sand is white and pink, fine. Evergreen junipers, exotic citrus fruits, strawberry trees, white flowers grow on the beach territory. On the beach it is possible to take places for families with children and large companies. The beach is very suitable for those, who like to snorkel, scuba dive. Even at the peak season, which falls on mid-August, everyone will find a place here due to the wide and long coastline.
It is possible to get to the beach by car or by rented in advance car. Of the infrastructure on the beach there is everything necessary: parking lot for cars, a cafe-bar with delicious food and soft drinks, rental of parasols, loungers, boats, rafts, canoes, kayaks and hydrocycles. Every year on August 15th, a party for dignitaries and celebrities is held on the beach. On this day in the bay it is possible to see the most luxurious yachts in the world. A beautiful view on the islands of Montorio and Soffi opens from the beach.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
