Beach description
The sand is white, the sea is azure, and crystal pure; the water is clear. The beach is suitable for rest with a child - the wind and waves are absent, the sea is warm and shallow, and the depth increases smoothly, far from the coast. Rocks occasionally come across. The length of the beach is 4 kilometers; its shape is curved, featuring many dunes and shrubs of juniper. Algae, washed ashore, can be seen in some areas. From the side of San Teodoro, there are always the most vacationers; however, after walking several kilometers deep into the beach, it is possible to find a lot of free space, where there will be a considerable distance to the nearest neighbors.
Most vacationers are here in July and August, especially on weekends. The season lasts from July until September. La Cinta boasts a well-developed infrastructure: on the territory, there are sunbeds, parasols, a kiosk, bars, rentals for swimming equipment, a parking lot for cars, and a stop for city buses. Everything is on sale, from food to swimwear.
This is a popular beach among families with children. It is quiet, comfortable, beautiful, and peaceful. Lovers of active rest flock to La Cinta: in windy weather, kite surfing is popular, while in calm conditions, diving and other sports are preferred. There are many other entertainments available, including volleyball, tennis, football, and discos. The southern part of the beach is more crowded than the northern. Various birds inhabit the territory, including herons and flamingos. Among the sights visible from the beach is Tavolara, the striking white table mountain.
When is it better to go
The best time to visit Sardinia for a beach vacation is typically during the summer months, when the island's climate is at its most inviting. However, the ideal period can vary depending on your preferences for weather, crowds, and activities.
- June to August: This is the peak season for beachgoers. The weather is hot and sunny, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. However, these months also see the largest crowds and highest prices.
- May and September: For those seeking a balance between pleasant weather and fewer tourists, the shoulder months of May and September are ideal. The temperatures are warm but not scorching, and the sea remains comfortable for swimming.
- October to April: While off-season travel can offer solitude and lower prices, the weather is often too cool for traditional beach activities. However, this period is great for those interested in exploring Sardinia's cultural sites without the summer heat.
In conclusion, if a classic beach vacation is what you're after, aim for the period between late May and early September. For the warmest water and most vibrant beach life, July and August are your best bet, but be prepared for the crowds.
