Spiaggia Rosa beach

Spiagia Rosa is a unique pink beach, located on the island of Budelli, La Maddalena archipelago.

Beach description

Spiagia Rosa is a private beach, where it is forbidden to come on rest. Due to fragments of sea shells, corals, mollusks, carried to the surface by the sea, the sand has a pinkish hue. The coast of soft coral colour is a preserved area. It is forbidden for sailboats and other sea transport to moor here.

Tourists on the beach do not rest, there is no infrastructure - this is a zone, untouched by man. Spiaggia Rosa was on the verge of extinction, for its preservation, the authorities closed access to the beach in the early 90s. Until 2006, no one could approach him either by land or by sea.

Now it is possible to admire the beauty of Spiaggia Rosa with a soft pink coastline from the sea. To do this, it is possible to rent a boat or get by a excursion sea transport. There is a clear beautiful blue sea, there are a lot of dense algae in the water. The view is fascinating, beautiful, unusual. A unique place can only be seen from a distance, landing in its outskirts is prohibited.

When is it better to go

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
