Anjuna is a central beach in North Goa, located on the territory of an Anjuna Village, 8 km from Mapusa. This is the noisy and funny resort which is never sleeps.

Beach description
Anjuna is the popular and crowded beach, located on the coast of the Arabian sea. Admission is free. The length of the shore is 2 km, the beach is narrow, in the sea there are rocks that are visible at low tide. On the surface of the ocean sometimes seen oily spots - fuel waste. But most people ignore this peculiarities, they come to the resort to communicate and to have a good time.
It's not really comfortable to swim here, but safe. But it's comfortable to sunbathe and do to the paries. The shore is sandy, bottom lowering is smooth. Landscape is unremarkable. The beach is popular among young people who want to spend a good time on the shore of Indian Ocean. In the evening entertainment places open with discos, loud music.
When is it better to go

It's easy to get from the village to the beach by rented scooter. Taxi is the most profitable and convenient way to get from the airport, also it's possible to take a bus with several changes or a train. Tourists can rent a beach chair and umbrella in cafes, bars and hotels located on the shore. During the day, traders of drinks, fruits and fish walk along the shore. In various restaurants and cafes people can have a snack. Restaurants are on every taste: Italian, Indian, with fish menu, free parking, with wireless Internet and transport rental. Some of them work round the clock.
There are many hotels with rooms of different comfort level. Economy class accommodation in Anjuna is the most popular. The room rate depends on the distance from the beach, the cheapest rooms are located in the area near the Church of St. Michael. It's better to book the room in advance.
Tourists can buy souvenirs, food, beach accessories, necessary goods and services at the famous Wednesday Flea Market. On Wednesdays Colour Carnival takes place. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including diving, snorkelling, elephant riding and snake charmers. Lifeguard monitor the safety of the guests everyday.
