Beach description
The beach with a length of about 1.5 km is covered with fine white sand with a golden tint. Palm groves stretch along the coast. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy. The water is calm, the waves are low. There are many animals on the shore – cows, dogs, birds. The area is well maintained and clean. There are sunbeds and umbrellas belonging to beach restaurants. Rental price is low. The beach is extremely popular. On the shore you can meet both tourists from around the world and local residents. Many families with children, there are youth companies. Due to the impressive width of the beach, a feeling of overcrowding is not created. Water skis, jet skis, boats and yachts are available. You can do parasailing, diving or snorkeling.
In Majorda, you should visit the Temple of the Great Mother, the Catholic Church of Our Lady of the 16th century, Ayurvedic centers, and SPA salons. You can go on an excursion to the caves carved into the rocks of Pandava in Margao.
When is it better to go
The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March.
