Bogmalo beach

Bogmalo – a small beach in the bay in the shape of a horseshoe, near the eponymous resort village, on the south coast of Goa.

Beach description

The beach with a length of about 600 m and a width of about 80 m is covered with clean light sand. On the well-groomed territory there are sun loungers and deck chairs, restaurants and cafes work, lifeguards are on duty. The entry into the water is sloping, the bottom is sandy. Pretty deep a few meters from the coast. The sea is calm. High waves suitable for surfing are typical for the low season. The beach is not crowded. Mostly local residents rest there, there are few tourists. In the afternoon, cows come to the beach, who graciously receive treats from vacationers. They especially like ice cream.

A diving school operates in Bogmalo. There are excellent diving spots off the coast. There is an opportunity to see the rich underwater world of the Arabian Sea with numerous representatives of marine fauna – stingrays, colorful tropical fish and dolphins.

On the shore, you can rent a boat for a boat trip or go out with local fishermen to the sea. You can also go on an excursion to the Aviation Museum, located near the airport. It’s worth a trip to the Dudhsagar Falls with a height of about 600 m.
