Vagator beach

Vagator is a popular beach of North Goa, located in 2 km from Anjuna.

Beach description

The area is rocky, full of palms, the beach is not crowded. The shore is covered with dark sand with rocks. The depth appears sharply, sometimes high waves rise. The entrance to the sea is sandy and rocky.

The resort is divided into 3 parts:

  1. Big Vagator which is a territory of the ruins of Fort Chapora. Here lays clean white sand, not so many tourists come, breathtaking views.
  2. Middle Vagator which is rocky part of the beach with popular place for discos and parties Disco Valley.
  3. Little Vagator is located behind the cliff, covered with palm trees. Here people sunbathe topless, despite the low banned nudism in Goa.

Touristic infrastructure minimally developed: budget guesthouses, bungalows, hotels, villas, apartments. There are restaurants, cafes and shops.

When is it better to go

The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March. These months have less rainfall, humidity is 60 - 70%, and the water temperature in the Indian Ocean is +29 degrees. There are many vacationers throughout the year. A massive flow of tourists begins in mid-autumn and lasts until the end of winter
