Betalbatim beach

The coast with a length of about 1.5 km is covered with light sand. The descent into the sea is flat, the bottom is sandy. The water is cloudy, but clear. A dense strip of palm thickets and pine groves stretches along the beach. Rescuers are on duty on the territory, there are sunbeds and umbrellas, several beach huts, rental points for water equipment and swimming equipment. Betalbatim is a good place to relax with children. The sea is quite calm, the waves are low, there are no fenders underwater currents, both young children and inexperienced swimmers are safe to swim on a long shallow.

Near the beach and in the village there are several good restaurants and eateries offering visitors free sunbeds and umbrellas. There are hotels, guest houses and hostels.

Betalbatim's main attraction is the Church of Our Lady. Not far from the beach there is also the Goan Village theme park with models of typical residential and public buildings, workshops, a market, gardens and sculptures.

When is it better to go

The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March. These months have less rainfall, humidity is 60 - 70%, and the water temperature in the Indian Ocean is +29 degrees. There are many vacationers throughout the year.
