Patnem beach

Patnem beach is located in a large bay, which can be reached from Palolem on foot (distance is about 2 km, there is a convenient road through the nearest villages). The area of fine yellow sand here is very wide and quite long (almost a kilometer). On the edges of the bay and in some places in the water there are stones, but they do not interfere with bathing. Around the bay there are a lot of greenery, palm trees and pines.

Patnem has excellent conditions for rest. For a bite to eat and eat right on the beach or some distance from it. On the coast there are several shekels offering a varied menu. Near the cafe there are sun loungers and umbrellas, free of charge for visitors. Toilets and showers are inside restaurants. On the beach you can rent a boat, there are good conditions for fishing. Also, the beach is well suited for water sports, but the necessary equipment is better to have your own or rent it on the nearby Palolem beach.

Near Patnem there is one hotel with 5 stars, there is no more expensive accommodation here, only bungalows are at the disposal of tourists. Houses with minimal amenities are located right on the beach, and in the village nearby.

Patnem is an ideal place for leisurely walks. This can be done both on the beach itself and in the neighboring “wild” bay. There you can admire the beautiful cliffs. There is also the opportunity to wander in a pine grove and take a walk near the river.

When is it better to go

The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March.
