Beach description
It's a wide 3km long beach. The shore is covered with fine white sand, the depth is gradually gaining, the beach is comfortable, but subject to tides. The sea is azure, the bottom is sandy, without stones and sharp drops. Morjim boards with Chapora river, which is flowing into the Arabian sea, and Ashwem beach. The beach is open round the clock every day. Admission is free. In the evening tourists watch beautiful sunsets. There are food, drinks, souvenirs and beach accessories traders. The beach is crowded, but cozy, surrounded by greenery, tall trees.
At coastal establishments there are sunbeds, umbrellas and other beach equipment, which is provided to customers of the institution free of charge. There is also a possibility to use a toilet and a shower.
When is it better to go
The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March. These months have less rainfall, humidity is 60 - 70%, and the water temperature in the Indian Ocean is +29 degrees. There are many vacationers throughout the year. Beach is full of restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and cheap snackbars. There are no nightclubs, but all the fun is concentrated in local restaurants. There are often take place discos, plays loud music, run shows and performances. Tourists can watch films in Russian language in restaurants. Infrastructure is highly developed, because this place popularity prices here are higher than at other North Goa resorts. People go shopping to Ashwem.
