Alma beach

Alma beach is a secluded beach on the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv on the banks of Charles Clore Park, from where you can see the ancient buildings of old Jaffa.

Beach description

The beach area is covered with fine clean sand. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy. There are no breakwaters, and the sea is restless. Swimming is dangerous, there are no rescues. High waves on the beach attract surfers. You can go windsurfing, kitesurfing and parasailing in windy weather.

The beach is often visited by locals who prefer calm and solitude. There are no rental points for sunbeds. Only umbrellas under which you can sit on a towel are installed. Showers are equipped.

The Manta Ray Restaurant with excellent cuisine is on the beach. Alma beach also has a small lounge with comfortable seating areas. The part of the restaurant is on the beach. A small kiosk selling beach accessories is open nearby.

You can get to Alma Beach by rental car or by public transport towards Jaffa.

When is it better to go

Israel is located in a subtropical climate zone of the Mediterranean type, the characteristic features of which are mild winters and very hot summers. The most favorable time for a beach holiday in the Mediterranean and Red Seas is spring (April-May) and autumn (September, October, early November). On the Dead Sea you can relax all year round. The water temperature in winter does not fall below + 20 °C, but in the summer it is unbearably hot there.
